Newsom pushes back against Trump administration immigration tactics

California Governor Gavin Newsom on Tuesday signed several bills that he says will push back against harsh federal immigration tactics from the Trump administration. The measures will enact a tax on private detention centers in the state, expand health and safety oversights, and expand public access to records from private jails.
