Mountain Lion captured in Outer Sunset

A mountain lion was spotted in the Outer Sunset on Friday morning, near the intersection of 44th Avenue and Ulloa Street. San Francisco Animal Care and Control personnel, alongside staffers from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife and the San Francisco Zoo  converged on the scene to locate and tranquilize the animal. The cougar was cornered for some time before it could be tranquilized. After the tranquilizers took effect, the animal was transported out of the city and released into the wild.
