Celebrating Afro-Peruvian culture in the Bay Area

A local dance company is helping keep Afro-Peruvian culture and traditions alive in the Bay Area. As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, we spoke with the company’s executive director about the history and cultural significance of Afro-Peruvian dance and a special event celebrating the tradition.
