OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - All lanes of southbound I-880 have reopened after a big rig hauling dirt overturned Saturday morning, said CHP officials.
Mounds of dirt fell onto the road near the Oakland Coliseum, causing the CHP to issue a sig-alert.
The third, fourth and fifth lanes of I-880 were blocked, due to a collision at Hegenberger Road, near the Oakland Coliseum.
The crash caused a major traffic jam on the highway, at a time, when cars should normally be going at the speed limit.
There is no word yet on the condition of the driver.
