Elon Musk unveils idea for tunnels under Los Angeles to ease traffic jams

(KTVU) - Tesla CEO Elon Musk has unveiled his new idea for a network of tunnels and roads under Los Angeles. 

He released a computer animation for his new venture called The Boring Company.

It shows elevators lowering cars into tunnels that will move at speeds of up to 124 miles-per-hour.

Musk says he wanted to create a way to deal with traffic jams. 

But it  might not happen anytime soon- Musk says he only spends about 2 percent of his time on the project.
