PHOENIX, Ariz. (KTVU) - A San Francisco fugitive wanted on several counts of sexual criminal conduct, including child molestation, was arrested in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday afternoon.
Evin Blanchard, 24, was a camp counselor while residing in Sa Francisco and allegedly fondled three girls under the age of 15-years-old. In addition, it is alleged he attempted to solicit sexually explicit material from these girls.
Blanchard was wanted for five counts of Child Molestation, four counts of Sending Harmful Material to a Minor, and Production of Child Pornography.
Blanchard has a criminal history, including an arrest for weapons offenses.
Following his arrest on Thursday, a large quantity of marijuana, a stolen firearm, and several thousand dollars cash was seized from the residence where he was found.
"Fugitives like Evin Blanchard are a primary focus for the U.S. Marshals Service," says David Gonzales, U.S. Marshal fro the District of Arizona. "The more time he spends in our communities, the more likelihood that additional children are placed at risk."
