FREMONT, Calif. - Authorities are investigating a deadly Friday afternoon shooting in a Fremont neighborhood that left one man dead and several people detained.

At around 12:13 p.m., the Fremont Police Department received reports of a shooting at a home on San Pedro Drive. When officers arrived they found man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local trauma center, where he died from his injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the man's identity.
