PLEASANTON, Calif. (KTVU) - Pleasanton police are looking for the men who attacked a homeless man while he was sleeping under an overpass.
Police say they found the 51-year-old man near the Springhouse Apartments on Springhouse Drive.
He was suffering from injuries as a result of being shot several times with a BB gun. He also had injuries consistent with being involved in a fight.
Police say the suspects shot the man in the back and arm several times and hit him with a hockey stick.
The victim managed to escape and flagged down a passerby to call 911.
He was taken to the hospital and has since been released.
Police describe the main suspect as a white male, between 18 and 25, 5 foot 7 or 8 inces and 200 pounds. He had brown hair and eyes, and about 3-4 days' worth of stubble on his face.
The other two suspects are described as males of an unknown race. One was wearing a black, white, and gold hockey jersey.
