Shooting on BART train near Antioch
Authorities are investigating a shooting aboard a BART train that left one person wounded between the Antioch and Bay Point stations.
PITTSBURG, Calif. - A suspect has been detained after a shooting was reported Monday evening on a BART transfer platform in Pittsburg on Monday evening. Fire officials with Contra Costa County Fire Department say one person was injured in the shooting and their injuries are unknown.

What we know:
In an update, BART said BART police are investigating a shooting on the BART to Antioch transfer platform in Pittsburg/Bay Point station. They said three people were injured and were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
It is not clear at this point if there is an overlap of victims between the two responding agencies.

Service affected
BART said service has stopped between Antioch and North Concord/Martinez. Transportation officials say Tri Delta bus 371 and 372 are available between Antioch and Bay Point stations. BART would only say this service stop was due to police activity.
BART first reported the "police activity" at 5:42 p.m.
Contra Costa County Fire Protection District was the first agency to say this was a shooting. Fire officials said at 5:25 p.m. they were dispatched to reports of a shooting and that there was one victim on the BART train.
What we don't know:
No other details were immediately available. It is not clear if the shooter was on the platform or if they shot from the train onto the platform.
