No. 22 Stanford hosts Cal for 120th "Big Game," playoff chances hopeful

OAKLAND, Calif. (Scott Reiss/KTVU) - No. 22 Stanford hosts Cal at Stanford Stadium for the 120th “Big Game” Saturday at 5:00 p.m. with Pac-12 title chances still alive, thanks to an upset win over then-No. 9 Washington last week.

Stanford (7-3, 6-2) owns seven consecutive victories in the spirited matchup. And while Stanford’s incentive is far larger than Cal, the Bears can secure a bowl game appearance if they get their sixth win.

Snagging the win will surely be tough for Cal (5-5, 2-5), but they are coming off a bye week and demonstrated the ability to take down a big contender with a dominating 37-3 win over a then-No. 8 Washington State.
