Hundreds of schools across the nation are trying to come up with ways to keep children off their cell phones and learning during school hours.
But many say they've found a solution. Nearly 600 schools, including San Lorenzo High School, are now using pouches to lock up students phones. Here’s how it works: Students' phones are put into a soft pouch, and locked with a snap that works like the security tags you find on clothing at department stores.
Many teachers say it’s paying off and they’ve noticed their students are more engaged.
