Thousands participate in 39th SF Marathon

An Oakland woman recorded her first marathon win Sunday at the 39th running of the San Francisco Marathon, race officials said.

Tori Tyler, 28, won the women's division with a time of 2 hours, 49 minutes and 51 seconds. 

This was her first time running the San Francisco Marathon.

San Francisco's Max Haines-Stiles, 30, won the overall race with a time of 2:30:42.

More than 27,000 runners ran in the city's only full marathon.

Runners raised more than $200,000 for charity.
