Victim dies at hospital following shooting at Emeryville Target parking lot

EMERYVILLE (BCN) A man died Sunday following a shooting last week in a shopping 
center parking lot in Emeryville, police said today.

Eondre Bolton, 19, of Richmond, was shot on the evening of Dec. 4 in a parking lot at a Target store at 1555 40th St.

At 6:01 p.m., officers responded to the parking lot after someone reported gunshots.

Officers locked down the parking lot and found the two victims as well as three guns. Both victims were in critical condition after the shooting.

The other victim is still in the hospital today but police did not provide an update on his condition.

Police said they arrested a suspect in the shooting, 22-year-old Cameron Smith of Oakland.

Smith was taken to the county jail on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a semiautomatic gun and shooting at an inhabited or occupied dwelling.

Smith is being held without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 18 for a plea hearing.
