Wawa recalls iced tea, lemonade, fruit punch over possible milk allergen, 100+ locations affected

Convenience store chain Wawa recalled bottles of iced tea, lemonade, and fruit punch that were sold at more than 100 stores along the East Coast.

Why you should care:

The company attributed the move to an undeclared allergen. It added that all bottles in question have already been pulled from the shelves and no illnesses have been reported.

Wawa’s recall affects 16 oz. bottles of several drinks that were sold in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. No stores outside of the five states included are affected by the recall, the company noted.

While the company has removed the items from sale, anyone who already bought one is asked to throw it out immediately and reach out to its Customer Contact Center online at https://www.wawa.com/iframe/contact or by calling 1-800-444-9292 to request a refund in the form of a gift card.
