Coroner, friends identify homicide victim killed in Oakland Lake Merritt robbery shooting

The Alameda County Coroner's Office has identified the victim killed in Wednesday night's homicide. Police say it was a robbery that resulted in shooting. A friend confirmed that photos of the shooting victim, Devon Stanford, are posted on his Facebook page. The 33-year-old moved to Oakland from Austin, Texas more than five years ago. Police do not have a suspect or vehicle description from this shooting.
