Fast-growing fern completely covers Lake Anza to the shock of several East Bay residents

People hoping to cool off or enjoy the scenery at Lake Anza at Tilden Regional Park were shocked to find it blanketed in some sort of green and brown plant. According to East Bay Regional Park District, the small aquatic ferns are called “Azolla” or “mosquito fern.”
