Security guard killed in Oakland shooting remembered for work ethic, love of family

A security guard who was shot and killed in West Oakland last Thursday was working at a tiny home village used as transitional housing for homeless youth. The man's mother and sister say their lives are changed forever as they mourn his loss. A source says a former resident shot the guard for denying him access to the property.
