UC Berkeley Professor Emerita Imke de Pater leads team of experts who analyzed the new NASA Jupiter images. Another California woman, citizen scientist Judy Schmidt of Modesto worked on refining and compiling the raw data and images into two color-adjusted photos that show new details of the largest planet in our solar system, including tiny moons, weather patterns, and auroras at the north and south poles.
