Extreme heat causes disruptions and delays on BART

Tuesday's extreme heat disrupted BART service between the Pleasant Hill and Concord BART stations. Many riders had to make a dash for a bus bridge provided in place of the rail service. Elsewhere, high-school football players practiced in extreme heat as their coach monitored conditions for their safety.
