New research center and Oakland Museum of California hold events showing different sides of Black Panther Party history in Oakland

Two events will focus on the history of the Black Panther Party and its origins in Oakland, as the Dr. Huey Newton Foundation prepares for a preview of its new research center Saturday, and the Oakland Museum of California plans to hold a panel discussion Friday featuring a new book Comrade Sisters: Women of the Black Panther Party.
