Last swan of San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts dies
The very last of those beloved swans at San Francisco's Palace of Fine Arts has died. You may remember Blanche. She was born at the lagoon in 1994 living with her parents and three siblings. Blanche later had a family of her own. But when her mate died in 2021, she was the last one remaining at the lagoon. Park officials say she retired to Sonoma County last July over concerns about avian flu caretaker described her as a loving, loving animal, and said fans can honor her by going outside.
