East Bay trauma centers see spike in gun injuries, as Congress members call for Surgeon General to issue report

Calls from officials to consider gun violence as a public health crisis increasing amid recent gun injuries and deaths. CEO of Alameda Health System spoke with KTVU and said their trauma centers have seen a 180% increase in patients being treated for gun-related injuries compared to before the pandemic.
