700-mile journey to raise mental health awareness among veterans and first responders begins on Veterans day
John Preston, a Palo Alto Firefighter, Marine Corp Veteran, and musician, is leading a 700-mile journey aimed at fighting Veteran and First Responder suicide. John, alongside his wife, Cory began the 30-day journey on Veterans Day. He and participants of the walk will carry 50 lbs (22kg) from Parris Island, South Carolina and plan to arrive to Cincinnati, Ohio on December 12.
