Water gushes from sheared fire hydrant at San Francisco Civic Center Plaza

A virtual geyser formed when a Department of Water truck backed into a fire hydrant at around 7th and Market streets on Monday evening. Firefighters had trouble figuring out the shutoff valve. The water made its way into one of BART's Civic Center station exits. The station exit had to temporarily close.
