Ramadan begins: Bay Area Muslim community gathers
Muslims around the world and here in the Bay Area are marking the first day of Ramadan. It's a holy month of prayer, charity and fasting, but with those prayers, are concerns about the ongoing conflict in Gaza. Also one local caf?, owned by a Palestinian American, is fundraising through the sale of Ramadan coffee boxes. A portion of the proceeds goes to the Middle East Children's Alliance.
