Sports betting spike brings new risks and complications to leagues
With March Madness building up to the final four this weekend, lots of eyes are on the tournament including those of potential sports betters. While critics point to a wave of recent scandals, the world of sports betting has become much more mainstream since it was legalized by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2018. According to the American Gaming Association, the U.S. is seeing a record high for sports betting revenue totaling nearly $11 billion in 2023.
