Keep Tahoe Blue This Holiday Weekend
The nonprofit the League To Save Lake Tahoe works year-round to protect the lake and keep it pristine. It is preparing for an influx of visitors on its busiest day of the year - July 4th. Every summer, the trash left behind by irresponsible beachgoers threatens the health of the lake. The League will be hosting an annual beach cleanup with volunteers on July 5th. CEO Darcie Collins shared ways everyone can pitch in to help keep the region's popular beaches clean and healthy for generations to come. The League also works with public and private partners to make changes that improve and preserve the environment in Lake Tahoe.
