SJ leaders debate mayor's plan to force some unhoused residents into shelters, housing

During a special budget study session on Monday, San Jose council members discussed Mayor Matt Mahan's Responsibility to Shelter" initiative. If passed into law, if would grant SJPD officers the power to force unhoused residents into shelters and supportive housing.
