Inspired by her family's story, Oakland mom writes children's book for National Adoption Month

November is National Adoption Month — a time to raise awareness about the more than 100,000 children in foster care in need of permanent homes. Oakland mom, Anna Schocket adopted her daughter, she searched for a children’s book that reflected their story and couldn’t find one — so she decided to write her own.
