Long lines for Thanksgiving food giveaways show increased need

Thanksgiving turkey and food giveaways are ramping up, and long lines are showing there is still greater need than in previous years, according to food banks that continue facing the lingering effects of the government shutdown and SNAP CalFresh food aid cuts.
