AAPI advocates push Navy to name ship for Filipino medal of honor winner

There is mounting pressure on the U.S. Navy to name a ship for Telesforo de la Cruz Trinidad. Born in the Philipines, Trinidad was awarded the medal of honor when he saved the lives of two sailors during a fire in 1915. But in a break from Navy tradition, a ship has not been named after him.
