Double shooting in Oakland at celebration of life

Two people were shot and one died at an Oakland celebration of life service where people had gathered to mourn the life of someone else who was killed on July 4. Earlier this week, Oakland Police Chief LeRonne Armstrong said seven people were shot in a span of 12 hours on Independence Day. Most of the shootings, the chief said, stemmed from “celebratory gunfire.”
