Pew poll shows Americans mostly pessimistic about the state of the U.S.

A new Pew Research Center analysis shows political polarization has fueled pessimism about the state of the country. Nearly seven of 10 adults surveyed said they were dissatisfied with the direction the country is headed, compared to 29% who are satisfied. 59% of people say the country's best years are behind it.
