Parents, teens, data privacy experts react to $17 billion Meta settlement

The settlement came as a surprise to many this morning because the trial against Meta was well underway in federal court in Oakland. As part of the settlement, Meta will pay up to $17 billion in fines and penalties and will have to change the way Facebook and Instagram work.
