The Santa Clara County Fair opens

The Santa Clara County fair kicked off on Wednesday, later than in previous years, when students have already started school. The fair was delayed by the availability of vendors, but organizers say it's an opportunity, not a problem. The date change also allowed new attractions that aren't seasonally available earlier in the summer.
