UC Berkeley law expert on Meta's $17 billion settlement
The federal Meta trial ended Wednesday when the social media parent company of Facebook and Instagram reached a landmark $17billion settlement with the Attorneys General offices of California, Colorado, Kentucky, New Jersey and other states. Restrictions on hours, bans on notifications and plastic surgery filters, as well as an independent auditor for oversight are part of the agreement.
