Cartel leader killed in Mexico operation sparks unrest, strands tourists in Puerto Vallarta

Violence and travel disruptions erupted in the Mexican resort city of Puerto Vallarta after Mexican special forces killed the leader of the powerful Jalisco New Generation Cartel during a coordinated operation supported by U.S. intelligence. Flights were canceled, cars were set on fire and American tourists were told to shelter in place.
