U.S. launches new air strikes on Iran as peace talks fall apart

The United States is carrying out a new round of heavy air strikes against the regime in Iran. Both countries have been trading attacks — Iran earlier this week launched missiles at a military base in Jordan, all of which were intercepted. Iran is also claiming to have struck two oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz. A cyber attack on dozens of water systems in Minnesota was also reportedly the work of Iranian hackers, though President Trump downplayed the seriousness, and blamed Minnesota on account of being "grossly incompetent."
