Bay Area college students drown in Santa Cruz County

Two young women who died after an ocean rescue in Santa Cruz County last week have been identified as Bay Area college students. Officials say 20-year-old Mahial Sran of San Jose State and 21-year-old Harshita Nair, a UC Berkeley student were taking a nap on the beach when the tide swept them away.
