CA Attorney General and Meta reach landmark $17 billion settlement

The federal Meta trial ended Wednesday when the social media parent company of Facebook and Instagram reached a landmark $17billion settlement with the  Attorneys General offices of California, Colorado, Kentucky, New Jersey and other states. The settlement approved by Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers includes a wide range of new safety measures for teens including restrictions on hours, notifications, plastic surgery filters, feedback and an independent auditor for oversight.
