Cold front moving in

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Bay Area experienced April showers, hail and snowfall on Thursday as a cold front swept across the region.
According to meteorologist Steve Paulson, the coldest weather is expected to arrive in the evening, with a possibility of thunderstorms. In areas of higher elevation around the Bay Area, including Mt. Tamalpais, snow fell, according to the National Weather Service.
Daytime highs will be significantly below average, reaching the 50s in most areas and dropping into the 40s in higher elevations.

Hail falls in Oakland
Hall fell across the Oakland on Thursday.
This unseasonably cold weather pattern is forecast to continue into Friday, bringing scattered rain and snow showers at higher elevations.
Temperatures are then expected to stay cool throughout the weekend.
Snow also fell in parts of the Santa Cruz mountains, prompting the California Highway Patrol to warn drivers to use caution when traveling along Highway 35.
