Bayfair BART reopened after person dies on tracks

SAN LEANDRO, Calif. (BCN) - BART officials have reopened the Bay Fair station in San Leandro this afternoon after a person died on the tracks. They are experiencing a 20-minute system wide delay as of 5 p.m.
The emergency began at 2:43 p.m. Officials have not given a reason for the person's death.
Trains were briefly being turned around before arriving at Bay Fair. At 3:09 p.m. they began single-tracking through the station, according to BART spokeswoman Alicia Trost.
Alameda-Contra Costa Transit buses provided assistance.
