Bomb squad investigation at Fairfield apartment building
FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KTVU) - Fairfield police are at an apartment complex with a bomb squad this morning as part of an investigation of a previous incident involving an incendiary device being released in front of the police department.
The situation was reported in a statement just before 7 a.m. and is taking place in the 2900 block of North Texas Street.
Nearby residents can expect to hear loud pops, according to police, and residents of some neighboring apartments have been evacuated.
Police said more information will be available later today.
