Cardi B has dropped out of a planned tour with Bruno Mars saying, "I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing."

The rapper - and first time mom - had planned to join Bruno Mars on tour in the fall, after giving birth to her daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, earlier this month.

Cardi B said she originally thought six weeks would be enough time to recover and get back on stage.

She made the announcement on Instagram saying, "As of today I've decided I won't be joining Bruno on tour this fall. I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that six weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically."

Cardi B went on to say she thought she would be able to bring her daughter on tour, "Not only am I just not ready physically, i'm not ready to leave my baby behind since doctors explained it's not healthy for her to be on the road. I hope you guys understand that this decision has been the hardest to make but I have to do what's best for myself and my baby! Thank you Bruno for being so supportive and understanding."

The majority of comments on the Instagram page are supportive of Cardi B's decision. One person wrote, "Good choice mama! I hope your enjoying motherhood so far and don’t forget that US 'your fans' love you but your FAMILY is what matters most, ultimately!"
