What you can do:

Pet owners should stop feeding their dogs the recalled food immediately and return them to their local retailer for a refund. According to the FDA, dogs ingesting metal may show the following symptoms: choking, vomiting, loss of appetite, lethargy, or stomach discomfort.

"Metal of any size, especially sharp pieces, can lead to serious health issues in dogs, including lacerations in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract. Consumers whose dogs have consumed any of the affected product and are exhibiting these symptoms should contact their veterinarian," the FDA says.
