Thrill seekers from across the globe gathered Saturday in West Virginia for an annual bridge-jumping event.

The 38th annual Bridge Day Festival in Fayetteville is the only day when it is legal to jump off the bridge that stands 876 feet and extends across the New River Gorge.

Hundreds of base-jumping parachutists will make the leap and the event expects around 80,000 people to cross the bridge that day. Additionally, repelling is an option. You can make your way down to the river from a cat walk under the bridge via a rope.

Oh yeah, there’s also a human catapult that launches you over the edge of the bridge.
