Oakland hotel 'Moxy' closing

OAKLAND, Calif. - An Oakland hotel is closing after just a few years in business.

The San Francisco Standard reports the Moxy Hotel on Telegraph Avenue has stopped accepting reservations and has closed its bar.

The hotel opened in the spring of 2021 and reportedly defaulted on a $35 million loan last summer.

It is not yet known how many employees will be affected by the closure.
