Paradise the bear cub released back into the wild after rehabilitation

Paradise the bear cub lost his home, his parents, and almost his life in the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, Calif.

In March, wildlife rescuers found Paradise in the woods near Yankee Hill in Butte County and immediately noticed his burned paws.

The Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care center took the cub in to rehabilitize him, allowing him to eat, rest and heal.

On Wednesday, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, along with the Lake Tahoe Wildlife Center, released the cub back into the wild.

Paradise the Cub slowly walked out of his cage, then scurried up a tree in the Yankee Hill area.
