A elementary school in the South Bay will be cleaned and sanitized this weekend, after a stomach virus sickened about one hundred students and six teachers.

The outbreak started at Horace Mann Elementary on North 7th Street in San Jose about two weeks ago.

The school has averaged about 6 to 8 new cases daily.

Administrators say the school has already been deep cleaned, but it will be sanitized again, in hopes of stopping the virus from spreading.

Nurses went to each classroom on Friday, to give students a refresher course in proper handwashing.

The school has also been trying to limit contact between the students, so they have been eating lunch in their classrooms, and some school activities have been canceled, including a much anticipated school musical.
