Swarm of quakes hit near Reno

USGS reports swarm of quakes south of Reno

RENO, Nevada (KTVU) -- The area south of Reno has been hit with more than a dozen small earthquakes.

The largest was a magnitude 4.4 that hit at 10:46 p.m. Tuesday.

Most of the quakes were between magnitude 1.5 and 3.0.

The USGS says these quakes were about 6 miles deep.

They were clustered south of the Reno airport, near Old Virginia Road.

People felt them all over Northern Nevada.

But there are no reports of any damage or injuries from these minor quakes.
